The women’s band Hump backwards was created in 2009. Around 2015, the group underwent lineup changes to reach its current three-member lineup. The group signed to a label in 2016 and released their first full-length album in 2019.

In June 2023, the group announced a hiatus as a band member was pregnant but did not clarify who it was. Surprisingly enough, on May 16, 2024, the band returned to announce that all three members had given birth to healthy babies!

The group shared that they would be active as a “married women’s band,” with the promise of activity.

Although it would have been understandable for the group to return to activities due to new life circumstances, Hump Back kept their promise!

Since the announcement in May, Humpback has been active on social media and holding radio shows on YouTube. The group also released an animated lyric video for one of their older songs.

On October 13, the group made several announcements on their X account, sharing a new group photo. They also announced the release of a new song called “明るい葬式” and a concert titled Maternity leave, thank you scheduled for December!
