On the October 10 broadcast of KBS 2TV’s “Let’s Live Together with Park Won-sook,” actress Goo Hye-sun joined the show as the youngest member.
Meeting the members for the first time, Goo Hye-sun shared her personal stories. He revealed: “I entered university in 2011 but was unable to attend due to acting commitments. I returned in 2020 and graduated this year. I graduated from Sungkyunkwan University and now joined KAIST for graduate school. When I was little I didn’t like studying, but now I enjoy it. I also like doing homework. I plan to earn a master’s degree and possibly a doctorate.”
Reflecting on her difficult experience filming “Boys Over Flowers,” Goo Hye-sun recalled: “It was when I was physically at my best. I could stay up all night and keep going. One day, a staff member came to me and said, “Hye-sun, please tell me you are hungry.” We can only eat if you say so. We can only wash if you say so.” I quickly washed my hair with soap at the water tap and ran to the set, but the staff couldn’t do the same, which made me hate.”
She explained the pressure she put on herself, “I was afraid that if I asked to eat I would lose the role. I was chosen because people said “Hye-sun has great stamina”, so even when I was sick, I kept going.”
During “Boys Over Flowers,” where she played a swimmer, she had an accident while diving. He said “I had to do diving scenes. I fell upside down while practicing alone. I didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to dive in like that. I had symptoms like vomiting for 3~4 days“, revealing that he had suffered a concussion.
Towards the end of filming, she was involved in a serious car accident. “There was so much blood that my face was all destroyed. The car was destroyed. The drama had to air a special episode because we couldn’t shoot and I had to get my face stitched up. Since we couldn’t delay the show again, I had to act only with facial expressions.”
Despite all these injuries, Goo Hye-sun continued to tour out of responsibility. “I had so many accidents and injuries that I finally got scared.“
He also said he had to leave the drama series “You’re Too Much” after just six episodes due to health problems. “I have developed food allergies to beef, pork, eggs, milk and shellfish. The only thing I could eat was rice. I suffered anaphylaxis and collapsed in a public bathroom. A member of the cleaning staff found me, opened the door and saved me. After that I became very food conscious.”
