Hanni confirms his presence at the parliamentary review
Hanni from NewJeans made the brave decision to participate a session hosted by the National Assembly’s Environment and Labor Committeefollowing news that she had been invited as part of an audit relating to workplace issues.
On September 30, 2024, the commission passed a resolution requiring the presence of Hanni and Ju Young Kim of HYBEafter Hanni previously made claims about workplace bullying. Although his presence was not mandatory, Hanni chose to face the situation head on and participate in the session.
On October 9, Hanni took to social media to inform her fans of her decision, writing, “I have made my decision. I am going to the National Assembly for verification.” She further reassured her fans by stating that she would be there alone, demonstrating her determination to handle the situation on her own.
Addressing the concerns of his devoted supporters, he expressed confidence and composure, saying: “You don’t have to worry. I’m doing this for myself, for the members and for the Bunnies (NewJeans fans).” Hanni’s message of reassurance continued with, “I decided to go with Bunnies. There is nothing difficult!! I want to go!!”
Hanni’s decision attracted attention for her courage and maturity in tackling such a significant issue. The session will take place on 25 October 2024when the committee should question her about her allegations of workplace bullying. In response to Hanni’s announcement, ADOR, his agency, released a brief statement acknowledging his decision.
