Controversial K-pop idol raises eyebrows to share G-Dragon’s pre-debut photo ahead of his comeback

[TRIGGER WARNING: Sexual Assault]

A former K-pop idol known for sexually assaulting three minors has sparked backlash after recalling his past interaction with a 7-year-old G-Dragon.

Go Young Wook, a former member of the legendary first-generation mixed group Roo’Ra, took to his SNS to reminisce about his past bond with G-Dragon.

In the post he shared his photo with the young G-Dragon and wrote an anecdote, saying:

“Most of my photos on the Internet are embarrassing or uncomfortable, but I also have some ‘dandy’ photos left from when I was still on par with the best Dandy Boys and Dandy Girls of the moment, so I want to publish them. FYI, my solo fan club in Roo’Ra was also Dandy Go.”

In the photo uploaded by Go, the “Bang Bang Bang” hitmaker was seen smiling side by side with the former star, seemingly cosplaying as the first-generation celebrity.

Go Young Wook also attached a YouTube link of G-Dragon performing as Little Roo’Ra and added:

“PS, in the video below, when Kwon Ji Young was seven years old, he took my role, copied me, and even introduced himself as me, and it is an honor of the family. For this reason, I don’t think my life It’s completely ruined.”

Although it seemed like a touching post, many VIPs and K-pop fans have been upset since he posted it ahead of G-Dragon’s solo comeback on October 25.

Notably, although Go was an iconic hip-hop star, he lost the public’s respect after being sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison for sexually assaulting three minors from 2010 to 2012.

For 3 years he also had to wear electronic ankle bracelets.

Since then, he has been permanently banned from all broadcasts and his SNS was also forcibly shut down.

Recently, he got his X account back and has been sharing updates with his remaining fans ever since.
