The actor will hold a private wedding on October 9 with his non-celebrity bride-to-be.
Moon Tae Yu’s agency Goodman Story shared the news of his wedding and asked, “Please give your blessing and support to Moon Tae Yu, who is about to embark on a new journey with his reliable life partner.“
They added: “Moon Tae Yu will continue to work hard to show good performances in various projects as an actor, so we hope you will watch over him warmly.”
Through his official fan café, Moon Tae Yu shared: “I’m getting married because I’ve met a friend who I will love and rely on for the rest of my life. Even though he doesn’t work in a similar field to me, he protected me with great understanding in my delicate and anxious moments.”
He added: “Like the line from my favorite movie “As Good as It Gets,” it made me want to become a better person. I’m nervous, excited and it still doesn’t feel real. Going forward, I will work hard and repay you with good projects. Since I have received a love that I can never fully repay in a lifetime, I will continue to strive to show even better acting and singing without shortcuts.”
Meanwhile, Moon Tae Yu rose to fame through dramas such as “Hospital Playlist” and “Queen of Tears.”
