“Napoli Matfia” Becomes the Final Winner of “Culinary Class Wars”+ Makes Chestnut Tiramisu a Trend

In the final episode of Netflix’s “Culinary Class Wars,” released on October 8, “Napoli Matfia” Kwon Sung-joon beat Edward Lee of the White Spoon team to become the eventual winner.

Kwon Sung-joon was named the winner with the unanimous choice of judges Baek Jong-won and Ahn Sung-jae, and took home the prize of 300 million won.

Kwon Sung-joon said, “I came to this competition because I thought it wasn’t right to live so frustratingly in the kitchen and at home without having fun.”

“I realized that I wasn’t wrong for living like this for 10 years. I will continue to be a chef who only goes back and forth between home and kitchen,” he said.

At the Top 8 meeting, held one day before the winner was announced, Kwon Sung-joon said: “If I get cast in season two, I think I’ll play the white spoon. For the first time in the world, I will become a contestant who will participate in two consecutive seasons of a survival gameshow and achieve good results.

After expressing confidence in his abilities, however, he said: “It doesn’t seem real to me. When I rest, I stay at home and focus on my shop”, and added, “I opened Instagram and my followers are increasing a lot, so I regret it a bit” regarding its popularity.
