Jiyeon attended the “T-ara 15th Anniversary Fanmeeting” held at the Broadway Theater in Macao on October 7, starting at 5:00 pm (local time).
The fan meeting was part of the group’s celebration of their 15th debut anniversary, where T-ara members interacted with fans through talk sessions, games and performances.
This event attracted significant attention as it marked Jiyeon’s first public appearance since announcing her divorce. The group opened the event with their hit song “Roly-Poly.” Jiyeon, with her long wavy hair flowing and exuding a pure and elegant image, performed together with fellow members Hyomin, Eunjung and Qri.
Towards the end of the fan meeting, while delivering a final message to fans, Jiyeon couldn’t hold back her tears. Her face streaked with tears as she looked at fans while holding a glow stick. When she turned to wipe her tears, fans loudly chanted “T-now” in support.
On October 8, T-ARA’s Jiyeon wrote a message in English to express her gratitude to fans on her Instagram. “The 15th anniversary Fan Meetings. The memories of yesterday’s Fan Meeting will stay with me for a long time. I will forever cherish the looks and words we exchanged. To Queens, who always supports T-ara, thank you so much and I love you all,” he wrote, expressing his love for the fans. In the photo posted along with the caption, Jiyeon showed off her beauty with a bright smile.
Previously, Jiyeon and Hwang Jae Gyun had been surrounded by divorce rumors since June, and on October 5, they officially announced their divorce. Jiyeon’s side said, “The couple was unable to overcome their differences and, after a period of separation, decided to divorce. They filed a divorce mediation request with the Seoul Family Court to finalize the proceedings.”
Through her legal representative, Jiyeon expressed: “I apologize for sharing this unfortunate news. We mutually agreed to proceed with divorce mediation. I ask for your understanding for the delay in addressing this issue. I will work hard to return with a better image in the future.“
Hwang Jae Gyun’s team said: “Even though our relationship as a married couple is over, we will continue to support each other moving forward. We apologize to fans for any disappointment caused.”
Divorce rumors began in June when baseball commentator Lee Kwang Gil mentioned on a KNN radio broadcast: “Do you know? Hwang Jae Gyun is divorced.Although he later clarified that it was a misunderstanding, and Jiyeon’s side denied the rumors, the speculations resurfaced when Jiyeon was seen without her wedding ring and Hwang Jae Gyun was spotted during a late-night meeting with acquaintances.
Although both Jiyeon and Hwang Jae Gyun had previously denied the rumors, they eventually announced that they had separated and agreed to divorce, leaving fans saddened by the news.
