tvNthe ongoing K-Drama, The love next doorwas recently hit with plagiarism accusations regarding one of his original soundtracks.
The song in question is “What Are We”, sung by Ha Sung Woon. The song was released in September by Stone entertainment music and garnered a lot of attention.
But weeks later, netizens began pointing out the similarities between the song and the soloist Baek Yerinof the 2019 version, “0310”. Baek herself also agreed Instagram recently to express his displeasure at the plagiarism.
Since Baek Yerin’s story was published, the situation has become an even bigger controversy, prompting Ha Sung Woon’s agency, Entertainment created by Big Planet, to offer an official clarification. The company addressed the controversy by saying that Ha had no role in composing or writing the song and only participated as the singer.
“Ha Sung Woon and Big Planet Made Entertainment were contracted by the drama’s OST production company to participate only as singers and were not involved in the lyric writing, composition or arrangement of ‘What Are We’. However, we apologize that the OST sung by Ha Sung Woon was involved in a plagiarism controversy which caused concern to fans.

The company reiterated Ha Sung Woon’s non-involvement in the alleged plagiarism and hopes that Baek Yerin and the OST’s producers can resolve the matter amicably.
