In an interview with News1 on October 4, regarding her film “Studio Goo Hye-sun”, Goo Hye-sun was asked about her feelings as she approaches 40. She replied, “I hope I’m not shaken. In my twenties, I often thought, “I’ll never go out again,” but that was never the case. The moment I declared that I wasn’t going to date, I found myself dating again the next day.

She said that when she broke up, she said to herself, “I’m done dating” only to find themselves in a new relationship shortly after. Although he now focuses on work and study, he went out fearlessly in his twenties, noting, “I never hid my relationships, while my friends often did, probably to protect their professional ambitions. Those friends are now quite successful, which I find inspiring.”

Goo Hye-sun said she probably won’t hide a future relationship, “I’m at an age where I shouldn’t hide it. I can’t hide my feelings for someone; I want to brag about it.”

She also shared a dating experience where she was with a man who didn’t hide their relationship, “We walked hand in hand down the street. When the middle school kids saw us, they asked, “Are you going to post this online?” and we said, “Keep it between us.” He really kept it a secret. Then, when we were about to go into a restaurant for a date, he let go of my hand and we broke up after that.

Meanwhile, Goo Hye-sun’s film “Studio Goo Hye-sun” was invited to the 29th Busan International Film Festival. This 15-minute short film is a re-edit of the film “The Peach Tree”, which Goo Hye-sun produced and directed in 2012. It was edited to highlight the New Age piano music she composed, focusing on the feature-length documentary film that is currently making.
