MONSTA‘S Minhyuk was officially discharged from compulsory military service today, October 3.
Minhyuk was discharged from the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi-do. He reunited with his members, including those currently enlisted, who came to celebrate his discharge.

Minhyuk also held a live broadcast via YouTube to celebrate with MONBEBE (MONSTA X fans), who welcomed him back. He read fan questions for about an hour, interacted with them, etc.
Minhyuk had gone viral while in the army for his physique, as he appeared to have gained weight and developed a lot of muscle shortly after enlisting. MONBEBE were impressed by his physical transformation.

Yet, during the live broadcast, Minhyuk revealed that he recently went on a diet. He lost about 5 kg (11 lb).

Later in the live broadcast, Minhyuk answered fans’ questions about his training and confirmed that he plans to continue doing so for his health.

However, Minhyuk set some boundaries. He revealed that no matter how muscular he becomes, he doesn’t intend to expose his body to fans, even if other members do.
But the thing is, guys… Here’s the thing. I know some people who work out and like to show off their abs and stuff like that. But… I’m not going to do that. I will keep my body completely hidden. For example, no matter how great an accomplishment I make… I don’t think I’ll ever reveal it. I simply let you all know in advance!
