Beloved singer and K-Drama actor Seo In Guk held its first successful American fanmeeting last week, with an event in Los Angeles and another in Washington, D.C.

At the Washington DC fanmeeting on Saturday, Seo In Guk answered some questions from fans. A fan selected to ask a question revealed that he has been a fan of Seo In Guk since his debut on Mnet Singing competition show Superstar K in 2009, in which he won the first season of the show.

A fan of Seo In Guk explained that they were an 8 year old at the time, and now they are 25 and have transitioned and come out as bisexual. The fan spoke briefly about their transition journey, explaining how Seo In Guk’s choice to play gay characters in his career meant a lot to them, especially when no one else in their lives supported them. Then, the fan asked Seo In Guk if he had anything to say to the LGBT+ community.
