aespa released the song “Welcome To MY World” in 2023 as a B-side along with the title song “Spicy”.
The song was an instant hit! It highlighted the girls’ soft vocals and contrasted perfectly with “Spicy.” In 2024, it was belatedly revealed that the song was originally intended for a different SM Entertainment artist. In a recent episode of MMTG, SM Entertainment’s newest newcomer as soon as aespa shouted for “stealing” his song.
“Welcome To MY World” was originally supposed to be my debut song, but it became a meaningful song for me since I got to sing it with aespa.
