ZERO (ZEROBASEONE fans) suspected Zhang Hao managed the group’s Weibo (Chinese social media platform) account.
Recently, ZEROBASEONE’s Weibo account shared photos of Zhang Hao. ZEROSE noted in the caption that the social media manager had written in brackets, “Let’s pretend it’s the company, not me.”

ZEROSE took this as a “confession” that Zhang Hao was running Weibo accounts and making up captions like one of the Chinese speakers. Fans praised him for “exposing” WAKE UP ONE.

However, this isn’t quite the whole story. Recently, Zhang Hao sent a message via Chat. He explained that there was some truth in the caption. A staff member had asked him for an idea for the caption. The sentence in brackets was meant for the staff only! However, the staff had just copied and pasted Zhang Hao’s entire message for them.
The staff asked me to write a caption for yesterday’s Weibo post. I said to post something casual, like “lively youth under the sun”, but it’s a bit funny to say something like that myself, so don’t tell anyone I wrote it. But in the end they published everything.

Helpp so it was the staff who asked hao for the caption but he thought it sounded weird that it was from him so he messaged the staff to pretend that the caption was from them, not him. While some ZEROSE found the whole thing funny, others felt it really exposed WAKEONE’s incompetence.
