On September 22, a post titled “KISS OF LIFE concert is empty” went viral. Since then, the post has been viewed over 100,000 times.

In the post, the author uploaded a supposed seating plan for KISS OF LIFE’s Korean concert. According to the seating plan, there are still plenty of seats available for the show.

The author goes on to write that the group may have bitten off more than they could chew, considering that they are still a fairly new group.

They claimed in the media that they sold out all their overseas shows, but their Korean concert will be empty. They booked all the venues thinking that “Sticky” alone would bring in seats, but I don’t think they sold even half of the seats.

Internet users reacted to the post, with many saying the group’s decision to hold a large concert may have been premature.

  • “I think it was too early. They don’t have many songs and they’re not that established.”
  • “This is really hurting their image. I think they could fill the show if they promoted it, but you can tell the label is desperate for money because they keep rushing things. Don’t rush, let the band take their time to grow.”
  • “Using such a big venue was a mistake. The last time the band performed was in a much smaller venue. I think the label overestimated itself, and also ordinary people (non-fans) don’t go to concerts nowadays because they are so expensive.”
  • “They should have booked the venue when the group was 2-3 years old. I think it was a mistake, as their fandom is not very large and the ticket prices are high compared to their popularity.”
  • “You can tell from their first week sales that their fandom isn’t very large.”
  • “Girl groups, who are not as popular as IU, have to be modest when choosing the venues to hold their concerts.”
