On September 15, Danielle changed her status on the fan communication app Phoning. The updated status included hearts representing the five members of NewJeans and a hat emoji representing former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin.
Previously, on September 11, NewJeans directly mentioned President Bang Si-hyuk and HYBE during a live broadcast, expressing their wish for ADOR’s normalization. They also requested Min Hee-jin’s reinstatement as CEO, adding that they hoped for a wise decision by September 25.
In response, HYBE CEO Lee Jae-sang said at a shareholder meeting on September 12, “It will take time, but we are calmly responding according to principles. HYBE is a company that adheres to principles and pursues fair management, and our position will not change.”
On September 14, BTS’s Jungkook posted a photo of his dog with the caption, “Artists are not guilty,” and followed up with another post that read, “Don’t use them.”
Jungkook also included heart emojis representing the members of NewJeans, which caught attention as it was similar to the heart emojis Hanni had used in her call status.
While speculations have emerged over Jungkook’s captions, BigHit Music, BTS’s agency, clarified on September 14, stating, “It has been confirmed that the post was created with the belief that no young artist should be dragged into disputes or used as a shield.”
Previously, Cosmic Girls’ Dawon and SES’ Bada also gained attention for their posts supporting NewJeans.
Since Danielle has also expressed her support for NewJeans members and former CEO Min Hee-jin, the future development of the situation is being closely monitored.
