“There were so many irrational things that we couldn’t understand even after our debut,” Haerin made the statement in a surprising NewJeans live broadcast on a newly created YouTube account instead of the official account on the 11th. This statement is consistent with videos of NewJeans interns, published by Dispatch in July.
“Our private data, such as video clips and medical records from when we were interns, were made public. We were really surprised when we saw them for the first time,” Haerin said“I couldn’t understand why a company that was supposed to protect us would expose that data instead of protecting it.”
“Of course, we have no choice but to worry that strange data and false facts will spread in the future,” he said. “We have raised issues with our parents and CEO Min, but HYBE has not resolved them and there has been no active action. In the meantime, the CEO has been fired and we don’t know who we should trust and rely on in the future.”
Previously, on the 27th of last month, ADOR fired former CEO Min Hee-jin and appointed Kim Joo-young as the new CEO. ADOR said that despite former CEO Min resigning, she will continue to handle the production of NewJeans and maintain her position as an internal director, but former CEO Min protested, saying that she was unilaterally informed of her dismissal by the company and that the content of the company commission contract that proposed her to handle the production was also unreasonable.
