IVE’s Jang Wonyoung talks about living under constant public attention

IVE member Jang Wonyoung shared his honest thoughts on living under constant public attention, revealing how he accepts both positive and negative reactions as part of his journey.

Jang Wonyoung appeared as a cover model for an August issue of the magazine, showing a soft and dreamy image through various photos. The photoshoot captured different moods through her expressions, eyes and poses, highlighting her calm and warm charm.

During the interview, Jang Wonyoung discussed the attention he receives as one of the most recognized figures in the K-pop industry. According to The Chosun, she admitted that public interest can have both comfortable and uncomfortable sides, but she chooses to see it as something that can help her grow.

“Like everything in the world, I don’t think it’s all good or all bad. Of course, there might be uncomfortable parts, but I tend to enjoy these things,” Jang Wonyoung said. “Whether it’s positive or negative, I think it will ultimately have a good influence on me, so I try to accept and enjoy everything with humility.”

Jang Wonyoung explains why she remains positive

Her even-keeled attitude towards fame has often been linked to the phrase “Lucky Vicky”, a nickname inspired by her optimistic way of thinking.

The phrase has become popular among fans due to its ability to find positive meanings in different situations. Jang Wonyoung explained that she doesn’t try hard to stay positive and that the mindset comes naturally to her.

“I don’t try to be positive on purpose; I’ve always lived this way,” she said. “Even during interviews, ‘Lucky Vicky’ came out naturally. For me, it’s just natural.” He also admitted that he sometimes reflects on why he thinks this way when people continue to highlight his positive personality.

“When people often focus on my positive side, I sometimes ask myself, ‘Why do I think this way?’ However, I hope to continue living like this,” he shared, Koreaboo reported.

IVE recently continued their global activities by successfully holding their second world tour, “SHOW WHAT I AM”, at the Tokyo Dome in Japan last month.
