On tvN’s July 11th broadcast Goblin 10th anniversary tripcast members Gong Yoo, Lee Dong Wook, Kim Go Eun, Yoo In Na, Kim Byung Chul, Lee El and Park Kyung Hye reunited to revisit memorable scenes from the beloved fantasy drama and reminisce about filming together.
During one of the games, the cast was asked to recall a famous line in which Ji Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun) asks Kim Shin (Gong Yoo): “Which type do you prefer: a devoted housewife, a sexy person or a professional?”
After answering the question correctly, the cast was asked what their preferences were in real life. Lee Dong Wook replied, “I like someone who has a professional career.” He explained, “It’s not the profession itself that matters. I find people attractive when they genuinely love what they do and are passionate about their work.”
Yoo In Na then presented him with a hypothetical choice: “Would you choose someone who has a career but makes very little, or someone who is financially well off but doesn’t really have a profession?”
Without hesitation, Lee Dong Wook replied, “Money is not important.” Yoo In Na continued by asking, “What if your partner keeps spending your money?” Lee Dong Wook replied, “Okay. I’ve had enough.”
His confident response immediately earned the admiration of the cast. Yoo In Na reacted by saying: “It’s so beautiful,” as laughter filled the studio.
The conversation also revealed that each cast member had a different ideal type. Gong Yoo chose “a devoted housewife”, while Kim Byung Chul responded “someone sexy” without hesitation, making everyone laugh. Surprised that none of their answers overlapped, Yoo In Na commented on their different preferences, prompting Lee Dong Wook to jokingly add, “Thank goodness none of us chose the same one” bringing even more laughter to the meeting.
