Actor Yoo Seung Ho will officially return to acting after a three-year hiatus, with the upcoming SBS drama Flex X Cop 2 marking his long-awaited return. The actor will take on the role of a brand new chaebol character, adding new excitement to the series.
On July 2, SBS unveiled the first teaser of Flex X Cop 2offering a look at the larger scale and heightened action that awaits viewers in the new season.
Premieres August 7 at 9:50pm KST, Flex X Cop 2 follows Agent Kim reactivated on SBS’s Friday-Saturday schedule. The crime drama continues the story of third-generation chaebol detective Jin I Soo (played by Ahn Bo Hyun) and veteran detective Joo Hye Ra (played by Jung Eun Chae) as they take on increasingly sophisticated criminals through an improved partnership. The first season was a major success, reaching a peak viewership rating of 11% nationwide and building a loyal fan base with its unique fans. “chaebol-fueled justice” concept.
The newly released teaser opens with Jin I Soo confidently declaring: “Shall we get started?” as he returns with even more outlandish investigative methods. Bombings and fires break out in department stores, moving vehicles and luxury party venues as an unknown figure issues a chilling warning: “Inspector Jin, the game begins now.” Hye Ra’s threatening words “Someone is targeting you with the intent to kill you” hint at an even bigger threat that I Soo will face this season.
The biggest surprise, however, comes with the first appearance of Yoo Seung Ho. The actor makes his long-awaited return as Yoo Sung Won, a newly introduced chaebol character whose brief but commanding screen presence immediately captures attention.
