Ahn Jae Hong was cast as Woo Jin, a lawyer who only believes in logic and hard evidence. After memorable performances in Hi-Five, Mask Girl and his special appearance in The King’s Warden, Ahn continues to showcase his versatility. His character struggles to maintain rationality as he faces increasingly inexplicable events. Audiences are especially eager to see the fresh on-screen chemistry between Ahn Jae Hong and Byun Yo Han, working together for the first time.

Ha Yoon Kyung, praised for her emotionally nuanced performances in dramas such as Undercover Miss Hong and Extraordinary Attorney Woo, plays Hee Yeon, Woo Jin’s wife. The project is jointly produced by A-lister Studio and BA Entertainment, raising expectations for another high-quality Korean thriller.

Auspicious Day is also one of the first major investment and distribution projects from CGV Pictures, the newly launched film division founded by CGV as it expands into the investment and distribution business in 2025. The company is preparing to release its first flagship project, Okay! Madam 2, later this year, continuing to strengthen its presence through planning, investments and content distribution.

Production on Auspicious Day officially began on June 14 and is currently underway.
