Ahead of the August 7 premiere, SBS revealed photos from the drama’s first script reading. Flex X Cop 2 follows the success of the original Flex The new season once again focuses on third-generation chaebol detective Jin I Soo (Ahn Bo Hyun), who uses his wealth and connections to fight crime, but this time he teams up with veteran detective Joo Hye Ra (Jung Eun Chae) in a new investigative partnership.

While continuing the universe established in the first season, the sequel promises large-scale action sequences and more intense criminal cases. One of the biggest changes is the replacement of the female protagonist. Although Ahn Bo Hyun reprises his role as Jin I Soo, Jung Eun Chae takes on the role of the heroine, replacing Park Ji Hyun, who played veteran detective Lee Gang Hyun in the original series. Jung Eun Chae will play elite police officer Joo Hye Ra, a former police academy instructor known for her exceptional investigative skills.

Director Kim Jae Hong and writer Kim Ba Da, who have worked together for years, reunite for the new chapter while maintaining the franchise’s signature style and introducing new elements. In addition to Ahn Bo Hyun and Jung Eun Chae, cast members Kang Sang Jun, Kim Shin Bi, Jung Ga Hee and Kim Myung Soo also attended the first script reading, impressing the production team with their energetic performances and chemistry.
