On June 25, Daesung Zip Daesung’s YouTube channel released a teaser video titled “I Will Reveal Everything.”
In the preview, the BIGBANG singer addressed the dating rumors involving KARA’s Heo Youngji, sharing an unexpected behind-the-scenes story about how the situation unfolded. “I went to Naver and saw that the research and development company had already released an official statement,” Daesung said.
He jokingly questioned the process behind the announcement, adding, “Normally, if you’re going to fact-check and make an official statement, shouldn’t you ask me first?” He continued, laughing, “My agency never even told me, ‘No, you’re not dating her.'” His light-hearted remarks amused viewers, suggesting he would personally explain the situation in more detail.
After checking to see if the cameras were working, Daesung quipped, “This is real,” hinting that he plans to give his full account in an upcoming episode.
Dating speculation first surfaced after photos and videos circulated on social media and online communities showing Daesung and Heo Youngji attending MAMAMOO’s concert together. The pair were seen sitting side by side in the audience, chatting while holding official glow sticks, leading some fans to speculate that they were romantically involved. The rumors gained further popularity when fans resurfaced an old broadcast in which BIGBANG member Taeyang jokingly commented that Daesung and Heo Young Ji “look good together.”
However, later reports noted that OH MY GIRL member Hyojung had also attended the concert with them. Since only selected photos and videos were released online, many believed the situation had been taken out of context, fueling unnecessary speculation.
On June 22, Daesung’s agency R&D Company officially denied the dating rumors. The agency explained that Daesung and Heo Youngji became friends through Daesung’s YouTube program Zip Daesung and said, “It is true that they attended the MAMAMOO concert together, but they are simply close colleagues. The dating rumors are not true.”
With Daesung now preparing to address the matter himself, fans are eager to hear his full explanation in the next episode of Zip Daesung.
