Former Tiny-G member Min Dohee ends year-long job at café after airport etiquette controversy

On June 17, actress and former Tiny-G member Min Dohee uploaded a video titled “I Quit My Café Part-Time Job” to her YouTube channel, sharing her experiences and reflecting on how work positively affected her life during a difficult time.

In the video, the actress explains that she never expected to stay at the bar for so long. “In my first episode I mentioned that I was working part-time. I’ve been working at this place for over a year now. I never imagined I’d stay this long, but it ended up being over a year.”

Born in 1994, Min Dohee is currently 32 years old. She admitted that taking her first part-time job in her thirties initially seemed intimidating. “When I started working part-time, I was nervous. But now I think it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Starting anything is always the hardest part.” The actress candidly confessed that before taking the job, she was struggling emotionally due to the lack of acting opportunities.

According to Min Dohee, she often felt discouraged and isolated when work was scarce. However, the bar location helped her rediscover purpose. “Before I started working, I didn’t have many plans and I was very withdrawn. I often felt down. Through this work, I realized that what I really needed was to feel needed.”

She added that being recognized for her efforts has boosted her confidence and given her renewed energy. “Receiving recognition for what I do made me feel better. The work has had a very positive impact on my life in many ways.”

Although she enjoyed the experience, Min Dohee explained that she decided to leave because new schedules and projects started coming up. “At first I lacked confidence, but now I really enjoy working and understand the satisfaction of going to work every day. Since I have upcoming commitments, I will finish my part-time job soon.”

The actress noted that the structured routine helped improve her mental well-being. “Before I started working, I lived almost in isolation. Having a job helped lift my mood. Even a short shift could brighten my day and positively influence my energy.”

Min Dohee expressed gratitude for the experience and said she has no regrets about spending more than a year working outside of the entertainment industry. “It was a significant period, lasting more than a year. I don’t know when I’ll work a part-time job again, but I have no regrets about the time I spent doing it.”

Min Dohee previously faced criticism in September 2025 after posting a travel photo showing her resting her feet, while wearing shoes, on airport seats. The image quickly sparked a backlash online, with many netizens accusing it of poor public etiquette. Following the controversy, the actress immediately apologized, stating that she would accept the criticism and would be more careful about her actions in the future.

He later addressed the incident on YouTube, explaining that his habit stemmed in part from his short stature. “It might seem like an excuse, but because I’m short and have short legs, my feet often don’t reach the floor comfortably when I’m sitting. That’s why I sometimes sit cross-legged or put my feet up. After that incident, I definitely made an effort to change this habit.”

Although Min Dohee’s work at the café began during a difficult period in her career, it eventually became a source of confidence, routine and personal growth. With new projects on the horizon, the actress seems ready to move on and focus on her entertainment career once again.
