tvN’s upcoming fantasy-romance drama “Spooky in Love” is gaining attention after releasing a new main poster highlighting the growing chemistry between Park Eun Bin and Yang Se Jong.
The series, a remake of the 2011 film “Spellbound,” mixes romance, mystery and the supernatural in a story built around two very different people whose lives collide because of ghosts, Soompi reported.
At the center of the drama is Cheon Yeo Ri, played by Park Eun Bin, a cold and powerful hotel heiress who serves as the CEO of the best luxury hotel in the country. On the surface she appears calm and distant, but she hides a rare secret: she can see and hear ghosts. Thanks to this ability, he keeps people at a distance and silently helps restless spirits find peace.
Opposite her is Ma Gang Wook, played by Yang Se Jong, a talented prosecutor known for his strong sense of justice and keen instincts. Despite his fearless reputation in the courtroom, he has one major weakness: he is terrified of ghosts. His life takes a strange turn when his path crosses with that of Cheon Yeo Ri during a series of investigations involving unexplained cases.
Park Eun Bin and Yang Se Jong get closer
The newly released poster for “Spooky in Love” shows the two sitting together on a couch late at night. As Cheon Yeo Ri looks ahead with a calm, unreadable expression, her hand rests softly on Ma Gang Wook’s.
The moment feels quiet and intimate, suggesting a connection neither of them yet fully understands. Behind them, a dark shadow appears pressed against a window, adding a chilling presence that contrasts with their soft interaction.
A key point of the drama is how Park Eun Bin and Yang Se Jong’s characters slowly grow closer despite their opposing worlds. This is also reflected in the new dramatic photos, in which the two are seen meeting at the investigation sites and exchanging cautious glances.
Their interactions suggest both tension and curiosity, as if each encounter brings them closer to discovering something bigger than themselves.
A striking detail in the images is Cheon Yeo Ri appearing without gloves before Ma Gang Wook, a gesture that hints at trust and risk given the supernatural consequences teased earlier in the story.
The production team described the pair as a unique mix, saying the drama will offer “a new and refreshing kind of entertainment” through the contrast between an heiress who sees ghosts and a prosecutor who fears ghosts.
According to KdramaKopi, with romance, investigation and supernatural elements woven together, “Spooky in Love” will premiere on July 18 at 9:10 pm KST on tvN, with international viewers able to watch it on Netflix.
