DAY6 member Dowoon (real name Yoon Do Woon), who denied dating rumors last month, has once again come under scrutiny amid speculation about his alleged relationship with influencer Yoo Ji Yoo, the ex’s younger sister Ulzzang Generation star Yoo Hye Joo resurfaces. This time, an old YouTube vlog seems to contradict previous explanations, reigniting the controversy.
According to online communities on June 16, a past vlog uploaded to Yoo Ji Yoo’s YouTube channel recently spread online, quickly transforming the alleged relationship between the two once again.
The controversy centers on a location featured in the Yoo Ji Yoo vlog uploaded about eight months ago. In the video, she was seen dining at a venue that fans identified as a limited-edition collaboration space between DAY6 and Dorim Chinese restaurant at Lotte Hotel, created to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the band’s debut.
At the time, the collaboration course meal reportedly cost around 70,000 won, with an optional Peking duck upgrade increasing the price to around 180,000 won. Despite the high cost, bookings were notoriously difficult to secure, with fans reportedly staying up late fighting for canceled slots due to the event’s sentimental significance.
In the video, the words “My day” the name of the DAY6 fandom was clearly visible on the table, while the windows were decorated with phrases including “DAY6”, making it unmistakably linked to the group’s tenth anniversary celebration.
Last month, Dowoon and Yoo Ji Yoo first became embroiled in dating rumors after netizens pointed out several alleged clues, including sightings of a dog inside a vehicle, similarities in home interiors and houseplants, matching pairs of key chains and similar phone stickers. At the time, JYP Entertainment dismissed the rumors as “baseless” or claimed to have done so “no location” on the issue.
However, with this newly resurfaced video adding to the speculation, some fans say their sense of betrayal has only deepened.
In particular, some fans expressed disappointment, saying: “They denied everything last month, but now there’s footage suggesting they enjoyed a date at a restaurant linked to memories shared with fans for the 10th anniversary and even left it in a vlog. It seems deceitful.”
On the other hand, some observers urged caution, arguing that Yoo Ji Yoo could have simply visited the site with acquaintances and cautioning against overanalyzing the limited evidence.
