Former LE SSERAFIM member Kim Garam has signed an exclusive contract with Management Koo and is officially preparing to launch her acting career.
On June 16, Management Koo announced: “We have been constantly following Kim Garam’s activities on YouTube and have been deeply impressed by her potential as an actress and her sincere attitude. Watching her work hard to achieve her dream led us to sign an exclusive contract with her.”
The agency added “Kim Garam continued to train and study to improve her acting skills, showing remarkable growth in a short period of time. In addition to acting, she consistently studied English and Japanese and also taught herself to play the guitar, demonstrating a continued desire to challenge herself and learn new things.”
The company further explained that it greatly appreciated her dedication to self-improvement and her commitment to pursuing her dream of becoming an actress. “After internal discussions, we concluded that its future potential and room for growth are extremely promising, which led us to sign this exclusive contract,” the agency specified.
Koo management also pledged full support for Kim Garam’s future endeavors, stating: “Her sincerity, passion and willingness to continually learn and grow will become great assets in her acting career. We will spare no effort to support her as she expands her businesses.”
Kim Garam originally debuted as a member of LE SSERAFIM in 2022, but became embroiled in school bullying allegations shortly after her debut. As controversy intensified following the release of documents related to the committee’s review of school violence, his exclusive contract with his agency was terminated and he eventually left the group.
At the time, Kim Garam denied the allegations through a statement shared on an acquaintance’s account, saying: “I have never hit anyone or committed violence. In fact, I once helped a friend who was being bullied at school.” He also reflected on his brief idol career, stating: “The two weeks after my debut felt like a dream and remain unforgettable. I will work hard to become a better person.”
Kim Garam is currently known to major in Media Acting at Konkuk University after enrolling in 2024. Since March this year, she has been regularly uploading acting practice videos through her personal channel. With this new agency contract, Kim Garam is expected to start a new chapter as an actress.
