On the morning of June 13, KBS2 The movie is beautiful introduced The eyesa thriller film in which Shin Min Ah plays his first double role since debut.
Seo Jin (played by Shin Min Ah) is a photographer who gradually loses her sight due to a hereditary disease. She has a twin sister, Seo In (also played by Shin Min Ah), a successful ceramic artist who lost her sight long before her. One day, detective Mi Kyung (Kim Young Ah) informs Seo Jin that Hyun Min (Lee Seung Ryong), a stalker wearing an electronic ankle monitor, has escaped after cutting him. For safety reasons, Seo Jin decides to stay at Seo In’s house temporarily.
However, Seo In is later discovered dead in the basement study of her house. Although the police initially suspect suicide, Seo Jin refuses to believe it. A perfectionist like Seo In would never have left her unfinished ceramics in the kiln if she wanted to end her life. Determined to uncover the truth, Seo Jin begins her own investigation and discovers that Seo In, who had long refused eye surgery for the sake of her artistic work, had suddenly decided to undergo the surgery before she died. He also learns that Seo In had visited an exhibition with a mysterious man who looked like a celebrity.

Convinced that Hyun Min is responsible for her sister’s death, Seo Jin shares her suspicions with detective Do Hyuk (Kim Nam Hee). The two visit a hotel to secure CCTV footage. While waiting for Do Hyuk in the car, Seo Jin is suddenly attacked by Hyun Min. As she desperately fights not to be dragged out of the vehicle, Hyun Min chillingly tells her: “You’re the one who made me this way.” before tightening his grip around her neck.

The eyes is based on Giulia’s eyesa film produced by acclaimed director Guillermo del Toro. Built around the premise that “The blurrier the vision becomes, the clearer the fear” the film promises an unnerving suspense in which truth and deception become increasingly difficult to distinguish. Kim Nam Hee plays detective Do Hyuk, who helps Seo Jin investigate the case, while Lee Seung Ryong plays Hyun Min, a model consumed by a dangerous obsession. The film is directed by Yeom Ji Ho, known for Next door.
Shin Min Ah delivers a powerful performance in the dual roles of Seo Jin, a woman torn by guilt and inferiority, and Seo In, who has grown accustomed to life without sight. To realistically portray the deterioration of vision, the actress reportedly practiced controlling the direction of her gaze to reflect the deterioration of vision. Director Yeom explained the casting choice, saying: “We needed someone who could anchor the story and carry the film forward. I wanted a face that audiences hadn’t often seen in this genre.” The eyes will premiere on June 24.
