On June 11, YouTube Entertainment channel president Lee Jin-ho uploaded a video titled “Exclusive Shock: ‘I’m Getting Married’: The Original Phone Recording of MC Mong and His Two Faces.” The video claimed to contain an audio conversation between MC Mong and an influential figure in the entertainment industry identified only as Mr. Cha.
The recording has attracted considerable attention online, as it supposedly captures MC Mong calling for his name to be excluded from media coverage relating to an ongoing corporate dispute.
According to the channel, the conversation took place on June 26, 2025. In the recording, a voice purported to be that of MC Mong can be heard expressing anxiety and saying: “Sir, I’m getting married now. Please leave me out of this. I can’t bear to be harassed by Cha Ga-won.” The speaker reportedly asked that his name not be mentioned in news reports related to the controversy. The other call participant reportedly responded sharply, asking why MC Mong was now attempting to distance himself from the situation after previously being involved.

The most controversial part of the recording involves allegations related to the use of company funds. According to audio released by the YouTube channel, Mr. Cha could be heard accusing MC Mong of using around 12 billion won (about $8.7 million) and claiming that the money was lost through gambling activities.

The recording reportedly includes statements such as: “Didn’t you spend 12 billion won? Didn’t you lose it gambling? A man should take responsibility for what he did.” The video’s narrator claimed that MC Mong did not directly deny the allegations during the exchange, instead responding with comments such as “I’ll stop” AND “Please stop.” However, the recording itself has not been independently verified by authorities and the allegations remain unproven.
The newly surfaced audio comes after previous TV reports and investigations, including discussions about the program PD notebookhas raised questions about financial management within a major entertainment-related business venture. Those reports stated that portions of investment funds totaling about 115 billion won had been diverted, alleging that about 12 billion won may have been linked to MC Mong’s alleged gambling activities in Las Vegas. No court ruling has publicly confirmed these allegations and they remain claims circulated through media reports and industry sources.

The leaked recording has intensified public scrutiny over MC Mong and the broader corporate controversy involving several entertainment industry figures. As discussion spreads across online communities and social media, attention is increasingly focused on whether more evidence will emerge regarding the financial allegations.
At the time of reporting, MC Mong has not publicly responded to the newly released recording or the renewed gambling allegations. With questions continuing to surround both the authenticity of the recording and the allegations referenced in it, the controversy remains a developing story that will likely attract further attention in the coming days.
