As excitement grows for BTS’s upcoming release ARIRANG world tour concert in Busan, local universities and Buddhist temples are stepping in to help international fans find accommodation. With the expected growth in demand for accommodation during the concert period, these institutions aim to provide safer and more convenient options for visitors traveling to the city.
On June 6, Korea Maritime & Ocean University announced that it will temporarily operate its on-campus guesthouse for concertgoers BTS “ARIRANG” WORLD TOUR IN BUSANwhich will take place from June 12 to 13 at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium.
Located in Yeongdo District, Busan, the university’s Ara Hall Guesthouse will open 14 rooms, including one single and 13 doubles, which will accommodate up to 27 guests. The nightly rate is set at 50,000 KRW, giving fans a relatively affordable place to stay during the event’s busy period.
The initiative is part of that of the city of Busan “Fair Housing Challenge”, a public-private campaign aimed at preventing illegal accommodation operations and excessive price increases during major international events and large-scale concerts. The campaign aims to create a more reasonable and transparent welcoming environment for visitors.
Buddhist temples in Busan and the surrounding Gyeongsang region are also joining the effort. According to the Korean Buddhist Cultural Corps, temples including Beomeosa, Naewonjeongsa, Hongbeopsa and Seonamsa in Busan, as well as Seongjusa and Daegwangsa in Changwon, Tongdosa in Yangsan and Pyochungsa in Miryang, intend to provide temple living facilities and unused spaces as temporary accommodation during concert dates.

Depending on the temple, accommodation may be offered for free or for a fee. Some locations are also expected to provide simple temple meals and cultural programs, offering overseas fans the opportunity to experience traditional Korean and Buddhist culture during their visit.
The Buddhist Cultural Corps is reportedly reviewing translation support services to make the experience more convenient for international visitors. However, guests will still be required to follow temple regulations, including check-in and check-out times and communal living guidelines, as these spaces also function as places of religious practice.

Industry observers note that the BTS concert in Busan has evolved well beyond a music event, becoming a major global cultural attraction capable of generating significant tourism demand. As a result, local communities are increasingly stepping up creative forms of fan support.
BTS will keep theirs ARIRANG world tour concert at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium on June 12 and 13. The second day of the concert will coincide with the 13th anniversary of the group’s debut, while various related events, including the 2026 BTS Partythey are expected to take place all over Busan.
