On June 4, lawyer Lee Ji Hoon, who previously criticized actor Kim Soo-hyun on his YouTube channel “Get to know the Lawyer,” posted an emergency notice, stating that it would delete all content related to Kim Soo Hyun.
According to lawyer Lee, the decision came after police determined that some materials disseminated by Kim Se-ui, including KakaoTalk messages and audio recordings allegedly linked to Kim Soo Hyun, had been doctored. Attorney Lee said continuing to keep the videos online could create the impression that his channel condones or supports criminal conduct. “Regardless of the content of the videos, they could be seen as a defense of Kim Se Ui’s alleged criminal actions,” Lee Ji Hoon explained.
Lawyer Lee had previously uploaded several videos analyzing Kim Soo Hyun’s press conference and his agency’s statements. In those videos, she questioned aspects of the actor’s explanation regarding his past relationship with the late actress Kim Sae Ron and criticized changes in his public stance during the controversy.
Some of the comments attracted a lot of attention online as public debate over the allegations intensified.
The situation changed dramatically after Kim Se Ui was reportedly arrested and later transferred to the prosecutor’s office on charges of spreading false information.
