YouTube channel on May 29th Jung Sang Hoon Bijung Sang Hoon uploaded a video titled “Gummy would never do this… Jo Jung Suk heats up while giving relationship advice to subscribers.”
In the video, Jo Jung Suk joined actor Jung Sang Hoon and several acquaintances for a series of relationship-themed balancing game questions. When asked to choose between emotional betrayal and physical betrayal, Jo Jung Suk surprisingly responded that physical betrayal would be easier to accept. Explaining his reasoning, he said, “The reason physical betrayal is somehow better is because emotional betrayal doesn’t just hurt one person. It can destroy an entire family. Physical betrayal can also destroy a relationship, but if I choose to forgive and rebuild it, there’s still a chance. Emotional betrayal, however, never truly returns.” She went on to highlight the importance of emotional connection in her marriage to Gummy. “My wife and I share a very strong emotional bond. For this reason, I absolutely cannot accept that emotional love is directed towards someone else,” he said firmly.
The conversation then turned to another hypothetical scenario: whether it would be acceptable for a spouse to have a drink alone with a friend of the opposite sex while their partner sleeps. Jung Sang Hoon replied that it would depend on what kind of friend he was. Jo Jung Suk agrees, saying context matters. He then shared a personal story involving Gummy and one of his closest friends in Japan. “While my friend was on a business trip, Gummy was in Japan for an event. The two met there and had drinks together. It was fine with me. There was absolutely no problem,” she revealed, demonstrating the level of trust in their relationship.
Jo Jung Suk also talked about how his approach to conflict resolution has changed over the years. When asked to choose between a partner who blocks communication during arguments and a partner who continues to call until the issue is resolved, he chose the latter as the most frustrating option. “I have changed” he admitted. “In the past I probably wouldn’t have liked the partner who blocked communication more. Now I think the partner who keeps calling is worse.”
Reflecting on her days with Gummy, whose real name is Park Ji Yeon, she confessed that she insisted on solving every problem immediately. “When I was dating Ji Yeon, I always wanted to fix everything in that exact moment. Through this process, I learned a lot about myself,” he said. He went on to praise his wife for her maturity and emotional intelligence. “Ji Yeon was much more open-minded and handled relationships in a much more admirable way. Looking back, I changed because of that.” Jo Jung Suk shared.
