On May 30, Han Ga In appeared on the YouTube channel Ggondaeheewhere he openly discussed his married life.
During the conversation, Han Ga In answered the question she is often asked: whether she would marry Yeon Jung Hoon again if given another chance at a new life. He argued that the question itself was incorrect.
“I got married so early and spent 21 years with him,” he said. “Next time I should meet other men and try dating different people.”
His playful observation drew laughter, especially when he added: “No matter how much I like someone, meeting the same person again…”
Born in 1982, Han Ga In married Yeon Jung Hoon in 2005. The celebrity couple remained one of the most famous married couples in the entertainment industry for two decades.
Han Ga In also talked about his personal YouTube channel, Free woman Han Ga Inand the meaning behind its name.
He explained, “The producer and I came up with the name together. The thing I felt worst about was living freely. We named it with the hope that I could break away from that and live more freely.”
Han Ga In shared that after getting married and becoming a mother, she wanted to show the public her true personality rather than the image people had formed of her over the years.
“A lot of people tell me, ‘You’re much more accommodating than I expected.’” he said. “I think a lot of people assume that I’m very quiet and don’t talk much.”
The actress reflected on how she spent much of her life confined by the image created around her after debuting at a young age.
“I debuted when I was very young and I have always lived in the image that people expected of me,” Han Ga In explained. “I started YouTube because I wanted to show my true identity: the ordinary, aunty-like version of me. When I take on comedic or unglamorous roles, I feel a sense of catharsis.”
