Kim Soo Hyun is receiving a huge outpouring of support online following major developments in the ongoing controversy involving the late actress Kim Sae Ron.
After the arrest of Kim Se Ui, head of the controversial YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute, public sentiment towards Kim Soo Hyun appears to be changing dramatically.
On May 27, Kim Soo Hyun’s agency Gold Medalist released an official statement saying that the allegations and evidence previously circulated against the actor had been confirmed to be false through investigative procedures.
According to the agency, the KakaoTalk conversations attributed to Kim Soo Hyun were fabricated using conversations involving unrelated individuals, while the voice recordings linked to Kim Sae Ron were generated using artificial intelligence technology.
The agency also revisited Kim Soo Hyun’s emotional press conference last year, during which the actor declared: “I won’t ask people to trust me. I willthe prove it.”
The statement added: “The past year has been entirely dedicated to keeping that promise. Through legal procedures and thorough investigations, the truth has finally been proven.”
When the controversy began to turn in her favor, fans quickly returned to Kim Soo Hyun’s social media accounts to leave supportive comments.
Notably, the actor’s Instagram has been dormant for more than a year, with his last post uploaded on February 12, 2025.
The post – featuring Kim Soo Hyun dressed in a suit – has now been flooded with encouraging messages from fans around the world.

Many comments praised the actor for enduring the scandal and expressed hope for his return to acting projects.
Fans wrote messages including:
- “Thank you for putting up with it all.”
- “We missed you.”
- “Now we can finally see you act again.”
- “Your happiness starts now.”
The actor’s latest Instagram post has reportedly surpassed 2.8 million likes as the support continues to pour in.
Attention is now increasingly focused on the fate of Kim Soo Hyun’s highly anticipated Knock-Off series for Disney+.
The drama, which reportedly has a production budget of around ₩60 billion, follows the story of an ordinary office worker who becomes a powerful figure in the market for counterfeit luxury goods.
Originally slated for release in 2025, the project was delayed after controversy erupted.

Despite growing calls for Kim Soo Hyun’s return, Disney+ recently stated that there are currently “no further updates” regarding the series’ release schedule.
Meanwhile, Kim Se Ui continues to deny all charges against him even after the court approved his arrest warrant.
Investigators are reportedly continuing to look into allegations of defamation, intimidation, manipulation of AI recordings, and dissemination of false information linked to Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron.
