Hyolyn was reportedly hospitalized following a sudden health problem, which led to the cancellation of her scheduled appearance at a music event in Taiwan.
The singer was originally scheduled to perform at the G!POP Music Festival hosted by Fubon Guardians on May 30. However, on the evening of May 27, her agency released an official statement confirming that Hyolyn had been rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.
According to the statement, medical staff determined that hospitalization and complete rest should be prioritized for the singer’s recovery.
The agency explained: “Based on the medical team’s current assessment, Hyolyn’s hospitalization and stable recovery must be the highest priority. After carefully considering her health and safety, we regretfully inform everyone that she will not be able to participate in the scheduled event.”
The company also apologized to fans for the sudden cancellation.
Shortly after, the Fubon Guardians organization issued their own public announcement confirming that Hyolyn would no longer participate in the post-match concert show due to her health condition.
The baseball club said the artist needed sufficient rest and care after the medical evaluation and asked fans for understanding regarding the unexpected change.
To compensate attendees, organizers announced that rookie band QWER would extend their scheduled performance to a full one-hour set at the event.
The team also confirmed that ticket refunds would be available without cancellation fees until 11.59pm on May 29 for fans affected by the lineup change.
Fans on social media quickly expressed concern and support for Hyolyn, sending messages wishing the singer a speedy recovery.
