On May 21, Taeyang appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel hosted by Choo Sung-hoon, where the two spent time together exploring Tokyo’s Shin-Okubo neighborhood.
During the episode, Choo Sung-hoon casually asked Taeyang about family life, saying: “I heard you are married and also have a child?”
Taeyang smiled and replied that his son is now five years old. Choo Sung-hoon immediately reacted with admiration, joking: “How can a dad look so cool?”

The BIGBANG member shared that his son has recently become obsessed with airplanes and even dreams of flying one himself one day.
“He really loves airplanes these days,” Taeyang explained. “The older he gets, the more fascinated he becomes.”
The two later visited a toy store together, where Taeyang carefully searched for airplane toys for his son. He admitted that finding the perfect toy plane was harder than expected and spent time seriously comparing different products.
A touching moment came when Choo Sung-hoon discovered a large toy airplane capable of carrying miniature toy cars and immediately offered to buy it as a gift.
However, Taeyang’s firm parenting philosophy became clear when staff members suggested purchasing additional toys.
Without hesitation, he replied: “No. If you buy him everything, he’ll become spoiled.”
