Rain Honestly Explains Why He Avoids Musical Shows “The Final Poses Are Awkward”

On the May 15 broadcast of KBS2’s music talk show “Seasons – Sung Si Kyung’s Ear Candy,” Rain appeared alongside Kyuhyun, Tiffany Young, and Lee Chae Yeon.

During the show, Rain performed his new song “Feel it.” He revealed that his appearance has begun “Sung Si Kyung’s Ear Candy” it would be both the first and last televised performance of the song.

Rain explained “Nowadays I do a lot of club performances and live shows where I can meet people directly,” sharing his current direction as an artist.

Then he added honestly: “One of the reasons I don’t do musical shows is because doing the final poses feels awkward.” His candid confession immediately attracted laughter and attention.

Presenting yourself as “The Son of KBS”, Rain also shared a funny story from before his debut. He revealed that producer Park Jin Young called him urgently to record the iconic song with the KBS logo that many Koreans still recognize today. Rain further joked, “According to Park Jin Young, that song with the KBS logo ended up becoming his main royalties earner at the time.”

During the broadcast, Rain and host Sung Si Kyung also bonded because they often appeared as guest artists at Psy’s concerts. Sung Si Kyung complained jokingly, “My dream is to be a guest at concerts in Seoul, but he only calls me for distant regional shows.” He jokingly exposed Psy by saying: “For concerts in the Seoul area, only invite hard-to-approach celebrities like G-Dragon or Rosé.”

As Sung Si Kyung’s close friend, Kyuhyun also expressed surprising affection for the singer, saying: “At his concert, I sang from beginning to end. Suddenly I thought, ‘Do I really like Sung Si Kyung that much?’ and I got mad at myself. He later impressed viewers by perfectly singing a medley of Sung Si Kyung’s songs on the spot after only hearing the instrumental parts.

Meanwhile, Tiffany Young became the first member of Girls’ Generation to appear “The Seasons”, where he performed his solo song “Summer is not over.”

Tiffany shared, “There aren’t many opportunities to perform live with a full band, so I’m really happy.” She also revealed that her Girls’ Generation members encouraged her after hearing that she would appear on Sung Si Kyung’s show.

Sung Si Kyung recalled meeting the group before their debut, saying: “We went to the same fitness center and I remember laughing so hard when I first heard the name Girls’ Generation.” Tiffany responded with a smile, “Honestly, we were a little surprised even by the name at first.”

Having lived in the United States until middle school, Tiffany Young also revealed that she often listens to Sung Si Kyung’s song “I cannot…” during his internship years while still struggling with Korean.

He shared, “I misunderstood the title at the time because my Korean wasn’t very good. I thought it meant ‘Staying.’ The lyrics, ‘I bite my lips and only look at my feet,’ comforted me a lot.

Tiffany later performed a special solo version of the iconic Girls’ Generation song “Generation of Girls”, paying homage to the roots of his stage identity.
