On May 13th, a video titled “Fifth Generation Idol Challenge” was uploaded to Ham Eun Jung’s YouTube channel.
In the video, Ham Eun Jung shared her honest thoughts on modern makeup trends while getting her hair done by a makeup artist.
He commented, “There are so many different types of fifth generation idol makeup these days. Some styles are glossy, some have that ‘baked’ look, and some look very light and fresh. But honestly, I think second generation idol makeup suits me best.”
During the trial, she also appeared surprised while having aegyo-sal eye makeup applied under her eyes.
Ham Eun Jung reacted by saying: “Why do you make me look so dark? My aegyo-sal has gotten too big,” showing her confusion towards the unfamiliar makeup style.
The make-up artist then explained: “Nowadays, all idols wear makeup like this. It looks amazing in photos,” before adding, “Actors usually don’t like this kind of makeup.”
Hearing this, Ham Eun Jung paused for a moment and jokingly replied, “But I’m both an idol and an actress…”
Then he said: “Wow, I’ve really become an actress. I think I’ve caught ‘actor’s disease.'”
The makeup artist immediately played the game, replying: “Yes, you definitely caught the actor’s disease,” making everyone on set burst into laughter.
As the makeover continued, idol-style makeup details were added, including dramatic lashes, emphasized aegyo-sal and highlighter.
Looking at the final result, Ham Eun Jung expressed her surprise, saying: “I look like a completely different person. I’ve never tried a style like this before.”
Meanwhile, Ham Eun Jung debuted as a member of T-ARA in 2009 and gained immense popularity with the group before successfully transitioning into acting through various dramas and films.
