On April 26, Ok Taecyeon shared a poster of the film Salmokji: Whispering Water on his Instagram, writing, “I’m not good at scary movies… but I’ll watch them while I cry.”
Released April 8th Salmokji: Whispering Water is a horror film that follows a film crew who encounter a mysterious entity in a dark basin after strange figures appear in street shots. The film stars Kim Hye Yoon, Lee Jong Won, Kim Jun Han and Jang Da Ah.
In addition to posting the film’s poster, Ok Taecyeon tagged Kim Hye Yoon’s Instagram account, expressing his support. Notably, he had just gotten married on April 24, but chose to visit the theater instead of immediately leaving for the honeymoon, highlighting his strong friendship.
The two actors previously worked together as leads in the 2021 tvN drama Secret royal inspector and joy. Although Taecyeon admitted that he is not a fan of horror films, he still made the effort to watch it, demonstrating their close bond.
Meanwhile, Ok Taecyeon got married to his non-famous girlfriend, who is four years younger, at Shilla Hotel in Jangchung-dong, Seoul. The couple had been dating for over 10 years before getting married.
The other members of 2pm Lee Junho, Jun. K, Nichkhun, Jang Wooyoung and Hwang Chansung attended the wedding and even performed a congratulatory song. Chansung, the only married member of the group before Taecyeon, was also the host, making the event even more meaningful.
Although the ceremony was private, photos of the wedding were leaked online in China, sparking controversy. A tourist staying at a nearby hotel is believed to have captured the ceremony from his room’s window.
