Yves has officially released the hypnotic music video for “NAIL,” his new title track featuring French-Algerian singer Lolo Zouaï, marking the launch of his fourth self-titled EP on April 17 at 1 PM KST.
The MV for “NAIL” arrived on major platforms alongside the full EP, giving fans their first full look at Yves’ latest concept from his third EP “Soft Error” in August 2025. The track, which credits Yves with the lyrics, leans into alternative hip hop sounds and uses poetic, metaphorical language to describe a lingering presence that refuses to disappear.
Lolo Zouaï joins as lead artist, adding an international flair to the song and underlining Yves’ push towards more global collaborations, according to Soompi.
Visually, the music video continues the desaturated, minimal style previewed in the EP’s concept photos.
A new hypnotic track
Previous teasers showed Yves standing on a dark stage with dim lights, conveying a calm yet tense atmosphere that carries over into the entire clip. In the MV, he uses small, controlled movements and a composed expression to create a quiet sense of intensity, in line with the song’s hypnotic beat and thoughtful lyrics.
The understated performance highlights subtle emotional shifts rather than grand choreography, focusing on atmosphere and storytelling.
“NAIL” is the lead track from Yves’ fourth EP, which she described conceptually as using a nail as an object to record one’s sensitivity, Star News Korea reported.
Through this motif, he aims to capture fleeting emotional moments that can connect people regardless of nationality, race, gender or language. The project follows approximately eight months after “Soft Error,” signaling a steady pace of releases as the former LOONA member continues to build his solo identity.
Ahead of the comeback, Yves sparked anticipation with teasers hinting at collaborations not only with Lolo Zouaï but also other global artists like Lexie Liu. A short teaser of the performance uploaded to her official YouTube channel showed her moving in sync with a pulsating beat, reinforcing the EP’s focus on mood and texture.
With the “NAIL” MV now available, listeners can stream and download the EP on major music services, while physical copies are available via the official purchase links shared in the video description, as per Chosun.
