DKZ will disband after 7 years, will conclude activities on May 31st while members will focus on individual journeys

DKZ will officially end their activities as a group on May 31, 2026, with all five members set to focus on individual careers starting in June.

DKZ agency, Dongyo Entertainment, announced on April 15 that, after sufficient discussions with the members, they have agreed to conclude the group promotions with programs planned through May 31 to serve as the final activities.

The company expressed deep gratitude to the fans who have supported the group over the years and thanked the members for their time and efforts together. According to Soompi, the decision marks the end of approximately seven years of the team’s activity since the group’s debut.

According to the statement, the five members will meet fans through individual activities starting from June 2026. Jaechan and Juwon have renewed their contracts with Dongyo Entertainment and intend to continue working in various fields under the agency.

Members Sehyeon, Mingyu and Giseok will also move forward as artists with the same company pursuing their own paths. The agency promised full support for the future endeavors of all five members and asked fans to continue sending their encouragement.

DKZ first debuted under the name Dongkiz on April 24, 2019, with the single album “Dongkiz on the Block”. The group was later renamed DKZ and underwent lineup changes before settling as a five-member team, Khan Sports reported.

Over the years, they released songs such as “Crazy Night” and “Cupid”, gradually building a loyal fan base known as Dong-ari. The agency highlighted fandom in its announcement, thanking Dong-ari for walking alongside the group during what it called a “brilliant journey.”

While many fans expressed sadness over the news of the dissolution, the members and the agency interpreted the decision as a new chapter rather than an end. As all members remain in the industry and prepare separate projects, the focus is now shifting to how each will shape their careers after May 31.

Dongyo Entertainment reiterated that it will spare no effort in supporting their next steps, signaling that DKZ’s legacy will continue through the members’ individual journeys, as per Pink Villa.
