Actress Ji Ye Eun has officially confirmed her relationship with dancer Vata. At the same time, past dating rumors involving Hyeri and dancer Wootae have once again come to the fore.
On April 13, Ji Ye Eun’s agency CP Entertainment said: “The two know each other as colleagues and have recently developed feelings for each other. We ask for your warm support,” officially acknowledging its relationship with Vata.
Both born in 1994, Ji Ye Eun and Vata first met in church and remained friends before their relationship turned romantic.
Ji Ye Eun made her debut in 2017 through the web drama How to do it. He later gained recognition as a crew member in the variety show Coupang Play SNL Korea and is currently a regular cast member Running Man.
Vata is the leader of the dance group We Dem Boyz, who rose to fame after placing second on Mnet’s dance competition show Street fighter in 2022. He gained considerable attention for choreographing Zico’s hit song New Thing during the show. Most recently, he participated in the choreography of Jennie’s solo song Like Jennie.
Love stories between actors and dancers are not entirely new in the entertainment industry.
In July last year, Hyeri and Wootae became involved in dating rumors. The two reportedly met while working on the film Victorypremiered in 2024. In the film, Hyeri played Pil-seon, the passionate leader of a cheerleading club called Millennium Girls, while Wootae was brought in as a choreography instructor for the production.
At the time, Hyeri’s Sublime agency responded cautiously, stating: “It concerns the actress’s private life, so it’s difficult to confirm.”
While the relationship was never officially confirmed, the lack of a clear denial led many to believe there was some truth to the rumors.
Hyeri debuted in 2010 as a member of Girl’s Day and has successfully transitioned into acting while continuing her music career.
Wootae, a member of the dance group Mbitious, also earned recognition Street fighterwhere he distinguished himself by securing the position of “lead dancer” during the “Sub-Leader Class” mission.
