On April 8, IU appeared on MBC FM4U’s Perfect Day with Lee Sang Soon, where she joined as the lead in the upcoming drama Perfect Crown.
During a music break, veteran singer Bae Chul Soo stopped by the radio booth and warmly greeted IU. The two exchanged a handshake and a brief conversation. As Bae Chul Soo prepared to leave, IU bowed deeply at a 90-degree angle, showing her respect and kindness.
Bae Chul Soo currently hosts Bae Chul Soo’s Music Camp, which airs daily at 6pm on MBC FM4U.
IU will return to the small screen on April 10th with Perfect Crown. The drama is set in a modern Korean constitutional monarchy and tells the story of a wealthy chaebol heiress who remains a commoner and a prince who, despite his royal status, has nothing. Their love story explores themes of destiny and the breaking of social barriers.
During the broadcast, IU was asked if it is difficult to balance singing and acting. She responded candidly: “There are times when it’s physically exhausting, but not doing it would be even harder. Life would seem boring.”
She added: “There are so many little moments of happiness in the process. Even when I look tired on the outside, I feel happy on the inside.”
