VIVIZ terminates contract with Big Planet due to payment disputes and album cancellation

On April 8, VIVIZ’s legal representative, Shinwon Law Firm, released an official statement announcing the termination of their exclusive contract. According to the group, the decision was made due to the agency’s failure to fulfill its obligations, including unpaid settlements, lack of management support and a complete breakdown in trust. The contract was automatically terminated on March 4th.

The statement revealed that the agency delayed the final payment by about a month around November 2025 and no further payments have been made to the artists since then. Despite repeated requests from members as to when payments would be issued, the company would only respond with vague promises such as “it will be paid soon” without taking action.

The situation worsened in January 2026, when the agency unilaterally notified the group of the cancellation of their new album (EP06), which was already in preparation. Furthermore, national and international fan meetings scheduled for the first half of 2026 have also been cancelled.

VIVIZ also said the company struggled to cover even basic on-site expenses, forcing managers to use their own personal funds during operations. While members initially tried to endure delays in receiving their earnings, they expressed distress at seeing others affected financially due to the ongoing activities.

The group said it concluded that the agency had ultimately completely lost both the will and ability to adequately support its entertainment businesses. With unpaid settlements and a complete breakdown of trust as the fundamental basis of any exclusive contract, they felt compelled to proceed with the resolution despite the difficulty of the decision.

News of VIVIZ notifying the agency of contract termination first emerged on March 19. At the time, Big Planet Made responded that no final decision had been made and said it was doing its best to support the artists’ activities.

Meanwhile, Big Planet Made, under the One Hundred label led by president Cha Ga Won, has recently faced management issues, leading to a wave of artist departures. Taemin recently ended his contract with the agency and moved to Galaxy Corporation, while artists including members of THE BOYZ, Lee Mujin, BE’O and Lee Seung Gi have also requested contract termination.
