On the April 3 broadcast of KBS 2TV program Seasons – Sung Si Kyung’s Pleasant Boyfriend, Lee Sung Kyung appeared as a guest and shared updates about her life along with the story behind her abs.
As soon as she took the stage, the audience erupted in admiration. Host Sung Si Kyung quipped, “You just saw a doll walking,” setting a lively tone for the show.
Speaking about her recent activities, Lee Sung Kyung said, “I filmed a drama and was busy because it overlapped with performances,” adding, “I acted in the musical Aladdin for about a year.” Sung Si Kyung replied, “I went to see it – you were amazing,” and congratulated her on winning Best New Actress at the Korea Musical Awards.
Her abs, especially during her role as Jasmine in Aladdin, became a hot topic. When asked if she felt pressured into wearing revealing costumes, she surprised everyone by saying, “I’ve actually had abs for over 10 years.”
Lee Sung Kyung’s toned body has attracted attention in the past as well. During his appearance on Yoo Yeon Seok’s YouTube channel, he revealed his fitness secret.
She shared, “I couldn’t get personal training, so I followed 10-minute workout videos on YouTube,” adding, “I did about 4-5 routines a day, focusing on core abs, transverse abs, rectus abdominis, side muscles, and stretching.”
Hearing this, actress Ryu Hye Young commented, “She was definitely born with big muscles. Her legs are like a soccer player’s – they may look skinny, but they’re all muscles.”
In fact, despite her slender build, Lee Sung Kyung’s tight, athletic physique has led many to describe her not as “thin,” but as someone naturally gifted with muscle.
