K-pop idol and TV personality Lee Mijoo is once again making headlines, this time for candidly sharing her thoughts on marriage following her recent breakup and past revelations about a cheating ex-boyfriend.
On April 1, Lee Mijoo uploaded a video titled “Begin preparations for the wedding: from the proposal to taking care of the bride” on his personal channel. The content, created as an April Fools’ special, followed his full experience “bride care” routine while playfully embracing the role of bride-to-be.
Throughout the video, Lee Mijoo openly discussed her ideal type, drawing laughter with her honest standards. “My criteria are quite strict” he said, adding that his partner he must be kind, speak well, eat well, be manly and, above all, “love me”. His simple answer quickly caught fans’ attention.
The light-hearted concept took a funny turn when staff revealed it was all an April Fools’ prank. Despite the playful approach, Lee Mijoo also shared more genuine concerns, jokingly wondering if she could ever meet “the one.” She added that she is open to dating and even accepted the idea of a blind date, revealing that her current age is 33.
When asked about his dream proposal, Lee Mijoo explained it he prefers something simple and sincere rather than elaborate gestures. Her too she expressed interest in having a small wedding and shared her hope to form a close bond with her future in-laws, saying she would love to call them “mom” and “dad.”
Her remarks come after a highly publicized relationship with footballer Song Bum-keun, which the two confirmed in April 2024 before announcing their split just nine months later. Earlier this year, Lee Mijoo also gained attention after claiming that an ex-boyfriend had been unfaithful to him, sharing a story of him inviting another woman over to the house over Christmas.
