So Ji Sub is currently preparing for the release of the next SBS drama “Director Kim”. Based on the webtoon of the same name, the series follows the story of an ordinary family man, Kim, who risks everything to save his beloved daughter.
In the drama, So Ji Sub takes on the lead role of Kim. He plays a former inter-Korean special agent who now works at a small savings bank and is a devoted father to his daughter Minji. Having been sent on countless missions, his character is simultaneously a major target of the North Korean wanted list and a hidden “time bomb”, whose existence must remain secret in the South. Through this role, So Ji Sub is expected to display not only his signature high-level action performance, but also a deeply emotional portrayal of fatherhood.
