A series of alleged private messages sent by Super Junior’s Leeteuk recently went viral, sparking a heated debate on social media.
According to screenshots circulating, Leeteuk contacted a woman who shares an interest in cars. In the message he said he was waiting to receive a Porsche 992 AND he invited her to go for a ride together once the car arrived. Instead, the woman reportedly politely declined the private invitation suggesting he join a car enthusiast club.
The incident quickly gained attention online, with many pointing out that this isn’t the first time Leeteuk has been caught sending direct messages to women. In 2018, he attempted to contact Yeonwoo (MOMOLAND), who is 13 years younger than him, but mistakenly sent the message to a fan page account. Even before, in the variety show Strong heartactress Kang Ye Sol and Dasom (SISTAR) revealed that they texted each other late at night, around 3-4 am

Criticism from netizens quickly followed. Some accused him of doing so questionable intentions and using a repetitive “formula” to approach women. Comments ranged from discomfort with his messaging style to harsher statements suggesting he targeted non-celebrities to avoid public scandals. Others have scoffed at past explanations, such as hacking claimsand questioned his continued presence in the entertainment industry despite repeated controversies.
However, not all reactions have been negative. Many fans came to Leeteuk’s defense, supporting him being a single man in his forties, he has the right to meet and communicate with women. Supporters also underlined this his messages seemed polite rather than inappropriaterejecting what they considered exaggerated criticism.

Known as the “legendary leader” of the Hallyu wave, Park Jungsoo, born in Leeteuk in 1983, has led Super Junior through more than two decades of success and challenges since their debut in 2005. Beyond music, he has built a solid reputation as a host, becoming a familiar face on popular variety programs such as Star King, Strong heartAND I can see your voice thanks to its intelligence and adaptability.
As of 2026, following the group’s 20th anniversary, Leeteuk remains a symbol of dedication, often taking a step back to let other members shine while acting as a stable pillar for the group’s legacy.

Behind his brilliant on-screen persona, however, lies a life marked by personal difficulties. His parents divorced when he was young and he grew up with his older sister, actress-singer Park In Young. In 2014, during his military service, his father tragically killed his grandparents before taking his own life, leaving a deep emotional scar.
Now 42, Leeteuk has never publicly confirmed a relationship and is known to live alone with his dog.
