EXO’s Chanyeol Drops Powerful MV “Back Again”
On September 6th, the SMTOWN Official YouTube Channel released the MV “Back Again”. It shows Chanyeol running away from a group of thugs but then getting up to fight.
“Back Again” is an alternative hip-hop track that fuses the raw energy of old-school hip-hop with a vibrant rock sound. The track’s dynamic fusion of genres also highlights a nostalgic and modern touch, capturing listeners’ attention with its energetic beats and impactful lyrics.
Lyrically, “Back Again” tells the story of a narrator who imagines himself as a superhero. However, instead of the traditional triumphant journey, this superhero finds himself facing endless challenges and setbacks, striving for a happy ending that always seems out of reach. The song also captures the emotional depth of perseverance in the face of insurmountable obstacles.
The music video adds a compelling visual layer to this narrative. It features EXO’s Chanyeol in a tense and raw scene, where he is relentlessly chased and attacked by a mob. Despite being knocked down and beaten, Chanyeol refuses to give up.
