According to reports on March 26, the two were seen on the afternoon of March 25 at a pharmacy near Gwangnaru, Seoul’s Gwangjin district. Witnesses said Kim Young Dae and Lee Naeun appeared relaxed and natural, wearing casual workout clothes and caps as they browsed everyday items such as toothbrushes.
Instead of hiding, they reportedly spent time chatting and selecting objects together, creating what observers described as a remarkably close and comfortable atmosphere. Their closeness in daily life has also attracted attention, as Kim resides in Gwangjin while Lee Naeun’s living area in Guri is located nearby, making it easy for them to meet and spend time together.
The two first met through the 2019 MBC drama Extraordinary You, where they worked together as an on-screen couple. They are said to have maintained a friendly relationship ever since. The timing of the sighting, however, just a month before Kim Young Dae’s military enlistment, fueled further speculation among fans and netizens.
In response to the growing rumors, both parties moved quickly to clarify their relationship. Kim Young Dae’s agency initially said the matter was part of the actor’s private life, before adding that the two are simply longtime acquaintances. Lee Naeun’s team also denied the rumors, explaining that they often train in groups and underlining: “They don’t hang out, they’re just close friends.”
While both parties have firmly denied the dating rumors, the sighting still attracted attention, especially considering the time leading up to Kim Young Dae’s enlistment.
