SBS has revealed the first lineup of artists who will perform at “Inkigayo ON THE GO,” a new special concert project scheduled for April 26 at Paradise City in Incheon, featuring seven artists: TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT), Xdinary Heroes, &TEAM, NCT WISH, KickFlip, CORTIS and MODYSSEY.
The lineup, announced on March 25, brings together a mix of globally recognized acts and newcomers. The roster ranges from established names like TXT, one of the best fourth-generation K-pop groups, to newer groups like MODYSSEY, whose members recently appeared on the survival show “Boys II Planet.”
More artists are expected to be announced in the coming weeks ahead of the event, according to Soompi.
“Inkigayo ON THE GO” is a new format from SBS that takes the network’s flagship Sunday music program out of its usual studio at SBS Deungchon-dong public hall. The project was first announced on March 23 as a way to bring the show directly to fans in a larger, more open environment where audiences and artists can interact in person.
The event will be held at Paradise City Plaza, a mixed-use complex near Incheon International Airport that combines cultural and commercial spaces. The venue features an indoor-outdoor layout designed to provide viewing experiences different from what fans typically see during standard television music programs.
SBS described the project as more than just a live performance. The network said the event will combine the telecast with a live concert format, aiming to offer what it calls a “multi-dimensional K-pop experience” for both domestic and international fans. Sport today reported.
A representative from SBS said: “Inkigayo ON THE GO expands the structure of traditional music shows by going directly to where the fans are and communicating on the spot. We plan to continue showing K-pop content in different spaces and formats.”
The show will air live on SBS on the afternoon of April 26. Attendees at the venue will be able to observe the production process up close and experience the energy of a real broadcast recording.
April is typically a busy time for K-pop comebacks, and organizers said this year’s spring schedule is expected to bring a particularly strong wave of artists returning to the stage.
A second round of lineup announcements is expected in April. Tickets for the event are already available through several international booking platforms, including Trazy and KoreaTravelEasy, as per regulations Nate News.
